YOGA FONT FOR WINDOWS

This font is freeware. Anyone can use it, copy it or distribute it,
just do not sell it. I produced it to try to give something to
the Yoga community from which I have gained so much. All I ask is
that you copy this file with the font, to give instruction and my
contact address for improvements. There is not restriction on the
use you make of the symbols, hopefully it will help others enjoy
yoga.

You cannot learn about yoga from this font. Go to a teacher or read
a book, if you want to learn how to do these postures. These symbols
are designed to be an aid-memoire only. I can recognise them without my
spectacles. I have tried to make them accurate. The original artwork
was created at 720 point, so you can blow them up quite big.

USING THE YOGA FONT

1	Install it in Windows 95,98 by using the Fonts program
in Control Panel (Start/Settings). Select Install New Font
from the File Menu and select yoga.ttf.

Install it in Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups from
the Main menu, select Control Panel and then Fonts. Select Install
New Font from the File Menu and select yoga.ttf

2	The Yoga font will now appear in the Font list in your
	word processor program.

3	Since it is not easy to identify which key corresponds
to which posture, try the following to print a guide.

Set the font size to be 70.
Copy the following lines into your Wordprocessor using the
	clipboard.

In your word processor, for each pair of lines select the
first line in each pair and set the font for that line to
	be Yoga.

4	To use the font you will initially find it easier to work
in a standard alphanumeric font and then change the font
for the characters you want. I use tables and text boxes
	to hold the figures.

HISTORY

The first version released is 2.1 on 26/10/98.

COMMENTS PLEASE

If you have any comments which would make this font more useful or
have common postures which could be added or just want to let me
know that it is useful, send me an email or fax. The naming of
postures is not precise so send me a sketch or a reference in
Light on Yoga by BKS Iyengar
for any new postures.
